The footage falsely portrayed him endorsing Congress and its CM candidate, Kamal Nath, for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. However, it has been revealed that the video was actually created by Disney+Hotstar a month ago as part of their promotion for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 campaign. In response to this fabricated video, the Freddy actor addressed the situation by stating, "This is the REAL AD @DisneyPlusHS. Rest all is Fake." The manipulated video cleverly substitutes Disney Plus Hotstar's visuals on a billboard with images of a prominent political figure. Additionally, Kartik's dialogues have been dubiously altered to endorse the political party in question. However, a source closely connected to the actor refuted any connection between him and the Congress party, emphasizing he has no association with it. Some speculations around the actor's political involvement started running on the internet as he hails from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh but he took no time to rubbish these reports. On the work front, Kartik Aaryan is set to grace the screen in Chandu Champion. This film, directed by Kabir Khan, is slated for release on June 14 of the upcoming year. Notably, this marks the debut collaboration between Kabir and Kartik. The movie is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and draws inspiration from the life of Murlikant Petkar, who endured injuries during the 1965 Indo-Pak war.
